Sleuth Community News

June, 2006

It's been a busy month for the Sleuth community as players organized two seperate contests: The second Annual Avatar Beauty Pageant and the first Annual Sleuth Mystery Fiction Contest.

Second Annual Avatar Beauty Pageant Results

After a year suffering under the iron fisted rule of 2005 pageant winner Croesy2002, the citizens of Sleuth once again gathered to cast their votes for their favorite player avatar of 2006.

And the winner is...

Serena Siren wins first place, with a total of 56 votes, out of 184 cast. Congratulations to Serena who will recieve her choice of three custom made prizes: a Crown, and Tiara, or a Pageant Sash.

Chawnes is your first runner up, with 46 votes. If, for some reason, Serena Siren is unable to fulfill her duties as the 2006 pageant winner, Chawnes will take over for the remainder of her reign.

First Annual Mystery Fiction Contest

The winners of the first Annual Sleuth Mystery Fiction Contest have been announced. Lucian Ty, Serena Siren, Rosamund Clifford, Lady Emerald Devon organized the contest and judged the entries.

The contest, which was announced on June 7th, drew some fantastic entries. "I enjoyed reading all three, I must say," said judge Lucian Ty. The first place author will receive a unique prize item to use in the game.

Sleuth (www.playsleuth.com) is an open-ended, detective role playing game (RPG) where you solve mysteries by searching for clues, questioning suspects and interviewing witnesses. Every mystery is unique with different victims, suspects and clues. All mysteries are solvable, in fact there are always two ways to solve any single mystery, but player skill and a small amount of luck are necessary to nab the guilty suspect.
